ID Process: ID Model Comparisons

I decided (in 2019) to have a think about the various “models” of elearning and instructional design. Models are helpful when you’re working in a team with competing deadlines and ideas. Models and taxonomies are descriptions of what we’ve discovered works, not manuals to follow. We have to do what’s optimal for our learners, stakeholders and the budget.

Below is an embedded PDF where I rate a few models on a number of categories, including utility, ease of formative evaluation and how learner focused the process would be.

Spoiler Alert: My favorite is Backwards.
